Did You Know

U.S. News & World Reports recently listed Cosmetology as one of the best career choices in 2008. Last year their choices featured only career's that typically require at least a bachelor's degree. However, times have changed and more and more traditional college graduates are finding less and less job opportunities as more employers are "off-shoring" more professional jobs that require four-year degrees. Also, with society telling high school students that college is the way, there is an accelerated shortage of skilled people in jobs fields that don't require traditional college.

The four non-college careers U.S. News chose as top careers "would be rewarding even to many college graduates, especially because college grads are likely to stand out against the competition." The field of Cosmetology was selected as one of these top four careers for 2008. in other words, "Even college graduates should consider skilled-trade careers", such as Cosmetology.
