600 Clock Hour Program

Key Benefits

Aesthetic training is a specialized art and science pertaining to skin care. An Aesthetician is licensed to work with the largest organ of the body, ‘the skin.’ As a skin care specialist, you will be working with people with both preventative and corrective treatments for the clients particular needs or wants. Aestheticians have the ability to boost a client's self-esteem, giving them confidence to "face" the world. This career field is the fastest growing sector in our industry. With an Aesthetic license, you will have several job possibilities including owning or working in a day spa, working under a doctor in an office setting, and much more. 


What You Will Study

Chemistry (40 hours): basic chemistry, the role FDA plays in our industry;

Physiology (35 hours): introduction to anatomy and physiology, cell growth and disorders of the skin;

Bacteriology & Sanitation (45 hours): universal safety and sanitation precautions, and the classifications of bacteria;

Introduction to Skin Care (45 hours): learn the proper way to analyze skin, skin care history, career opportunities;

Makeup & Corrective Makeup (50 hours): makeup application;

Eyebrows & Eyelashes (40 hours): eyelash and eyebrow care;

Hair Removal (40 hours): hair removal by waxing and tweezing;

Safety Precautions (20 hours): safety and sanitation procedures and precautions.


What You Need To Graduate & Qualify for the Aesthetics Exam

(a)    Accrue 600 hours.  The hours must be documented, legal hours of training in the correct areas, required by the State of Arkansas;

(b)   Must complete one hour of theory for each day attended;

(c)    Registration and certification of hours;

(d)   Account and final papers must be in order, including State Board Exam Application, Exit Interview for Loan students, date for mock state board, and financial paperwork settled;

(e)    Must have 70% in theory and 75% on practicals.

Upon completing your program and having met all the requirements to graduate, including having your balance paid in full, you will be awarded a diploma.
